Car Insurance Companies
Car Insurance Companies - Beware
In today's world of high insurance premiums, everyone is looking for a way to save money.
Discount auto insurance is becoming a common term. Many companies realize that insurance is on the rise and are offering their coverage at a much
cheaper rate and more reasonable terms. However, don't be tricked into thinking that your saving alot of money. You could be setting yourself up
for frustration in the long run. With these companies, savings are intially realized, until you make a claim.
Cheap auto insurance companies, just like any other insurance company, hire specialists to weed
out fraudulent claims. However, these discount insurance companies usually have a limited budget, and take longer than usual to get to your
claim. People report companies taking up to several months just to notice or file their claim. Even then, discount auto insurance companies have
a hard time divying out any due money becuse of their limited budget.
Unfortunately for consumers, there are no mandates imposed on insurance companies that says how
quickly they need to file or act on a claim. Cheap insurance companies take advantage of this and realize they are well within their legal right
to delay a claim.
Another cheap trick insurance companies use is to offer you an insanely low price on their
minimum level policies. They make up for these cheap prices in increased rates for upgraded policies, or any additional coverage the client
needs. Bare minimum policies are very rare, as any car with a loan on it requires full comprehensive coverage.
A regular and reputable auto insurance company prides itself in quality customer service and
products. Cheap insurance companies usually make up for their cheap prices in poor customer relations and service. They simply can't provide the
resources necessary to provide their customers the type of service larger companies like Progressive or Allsate can.
As you can see, cheap insurance isn't always the best option. You will save initially but may end up paying more later on. If you
are absolutely determined to go the cheaper route, it would be wise to ask for references and perform the necessary due diligence on the
company in question.
